Married At First Sight Ep 8: Commitment Ceremonies and Tinder!

Commitment you say? Let’s dig further.. each couple, one by one have to decide whether they want to stay, or leave their marriages. Each person writes their decision down on a piece of paper and then, in the commitment ceremony, each couple unveils their piece of paper to each other.

Lets begin with our favourite Polynesian lover hunter Deborah and her partner John!

As we know, John decided to leave Deborah, while she now wanted to opposite! What on earth.. Well, maybe she had a recent epiphany? Who knows!

News has it that unhappy couple Jonathon and Cheryl clearly want to leave one another. Which is why it came as a shock when he voted to stay and she wanted to leave!

Tinder? Well.. Jonathon had recently been caught using his mobile and chatting up a woman before going to bed. Cheryl, still eerily awake, noticed his unusual behaviour and realised the woman on his phone was someone she knew!

Then, the commitment ceremony. And Cheryl finally blurts out the reason why she voted to leave.

“You swapped numbers and you’ve been talking to each other. That makes me feel like sh*t. To hear that makes me feel like compete sh*t — you’re just not taking this seriously at all. It’s a dog — it’s a dog move and I’m so betrayed by you. BOTH OF YOU.”

Who was the woman?!

“Scarlett,” she says, surprising everyone in the room.

Shocking! Cheryl then storms back into the room, meanwhile knowing she is completely doomed to be in a relationship she desperately wants to dissolve (in acid).

And before we think all hope is lost for our poor Irish bombshell, an important message appears after the show.

“Due to irreconcilable differences, Jonathan has reconsidered his decision to continue with the experiment.”

Boo to us, it wasn’t even captured on film!
