MAINTAINING YOUR MANI ON YOUR HONEYMOON

One thing many brides forget to consider in all the craziness of wedding planning is that after the wedding comes the honeymoon. And on that honeymoon, they have to figure out how to maintain that perfect manicure. That post wedding getaway might be just what you need for a little R&R, but the happy snaps of your ring means you also need good nails. And those tropical conditions are not what you need for that!

Depending on the length of your honeymoon, you may be able to get away with no maintenance on acrylic and shellac nails. Usually these kind of manicures can last for up to 4 weeks.

But if your honeymoon is going to be longer, do your research and find a salon you can visit. If you’re staying in a major city or resort, this shouldn’t be an issue. If you can, look at the social media pages or other review sites to get an idea of other happy customers.

If you are visiting a remote location, consider a neutral polish for your wedding. This means that the regrowth of your nails won’t be too noticeable.

If you’re opting to stick to your natural nails, take a little manicure kit along with you. Include the colour you’re wearing, some polish remover and a nail file. If you find your polish is chipping, a quick repaint by the pool is your best bet!

Whether your nails are fake or au naturel, do your ring the justice of keeping your nails perfect for all those paparazzi moments!
