Inside Jasmine Homa's Wedding Planning: Tips and Tricks

The Truth about choosing your Bridal Party:

The harsh truth about choosing your bridal party and your maid of honour.

Your Bridal party needs to be dependable so that you can rely on them to help you with anything you need on your wedding day. On you wedding day emotions run high and nerves creep in.

Who is going to be there to support you when you need it most?

The answer is simple: it’s the people you know you can depend on in everyday life. They have been there through thick and thin with you. They truly know you, they have seen you at your highs and your lows and know how to support you. If you cannot depend on them in everyday life then you shouldn’t attempt to depend on them on one of the biggest days of your life.

Or as Jasmine says

“Whose been there for you day in and day out, Who has never said no to you, Who always answers your call, Who is it, because if it’s not the people in your bridal party, then they should not be in your bridal party.”

Your wedding day is one of the most significant moments of your life, and having the right person by your side makes all the difference. So choose wisely, brides-to-be!

What is Wedding Planning Really Like?

In Jasmine’s experience, planning a wedding is like owning a restaurant, booking everything in and praying that everyone shows up.

The reality of planning a wedding for months on end and then just hoping that everyone actually shows up is a terrifying thought. Thankfully, RSVP exist to ease our minds!

If this is a worry for you, then consider shrinking your guest list and having a more intimate event with just your closest family and friends.

The Hardest Thing About Wedding Planning

Wedding planning is a big task. Choosing who to invite is a challenge, especially when you don’t have the budget to invite everyone you know.

What’s harder than choosing who to invite?

Jasmine Homa, founder of Australia Weddings Official, was down to her last nerve when allocating her seating chart!

The intricacies of who should sit wear and who can sit next to them can definitely test your patience. Just keep in mind that everyone is there to celebrate you and your partner’s love story, and try not to let it stress you out too much.

Countdown to the Big Day: Emotional Moments Every Bride Experiences

The week leading up to your wedding is full on. There are appointments to attend, to-do lists to do and people with questions that need answering. However, this is also a very emotional and sentimental time to reflect on your life so far and your journey as a couple.

It can be a very emotional time, in a good way. You may feel excitement, anticipation, nerves or pure love – or maybe even all at once! Being on edge emotionally can make you more susceptible to a tear-jerking moment – embrace it!

Getting emotional is a sign that your love is strong and you understand the gravity of your upcoming decision!
