Kylie Minogue has announced she will be taking her husband’s surname, British actor Joshua Sasse, when they wed.
The Aussie pop star has a surprising reason for choosing to take his last name and letting go of her own iconic name – she thinks it sounds better!
Sasse is a great name,” she told You Magazine. “Kylie Sasse is a great name. It’s a great stage name. Kylie Minogue has never exactly tripped off the tongue. Taking a different name makes a statement,”
Minogue met her Fiance in 2015 and the couple announced their engagement in February last year.

Kylie said the couple had no plans for their Wedding Day yet and were adamant the couple’s were waiting until same-sex marriage becomes legal in Australia, before they marry.
“Overseas same-sex weddings are recognised in South Australia now but it makes sense and seems only right to us to only get married when it is okay for everyone to be able to marry who they love,” she said.
