Joey King is officially married! The 24-year-old actor wed her sweetheart Steven Piet after four years of dating.
Their gorgeous nuptials took place in La Fortaleza, 1628 fortress turned picturesque villa in Mallorca, Spain. In an interview with Vogue, the bride explained that they wanted a venue that felt both “grand yet intimate at the same time.” The unbeatable venue was found by their planners, Alison Bryan Destinations, who made the radiant affair possible.
In a stunning series of photos by Norman & Blake, the couple are seen sharing moments of pure bliss, with the blue sky and Mediterranean sea as their backdrop. The aisle was flanked by beautiful pools, which seamlessly tied in with the seaside aesthetic of the wedding.
The lush florals were provided by Putnam Flowers. The code was color on color—the florists mixed blooms of various sizes in blush tones, cool lavenders, pastel yellows, and dusty greens. It gave the overall effect of a wild garden, yet was still completely artistic, tasteful, and joyful. The color palette and textures complemented the historic venue in every way!
Joey and Steven wed in the company of their nearest and dearest. The bride’s mother and grandmother escorted her down the aisle. Sabrina Carpenter, Joey’s best friend, sang a Swedish song as she walked toward the love of her life.
Of course, we can’t skip over the wedding centerpiece: the bridal gown! For her destination wedding, Joey wore a custom Spring 2023 Faille Petal Ball Gown by Oscar de la Renta. The theatrical creation featured a beautiful heart-shaped strapless neckline, and was completely scaled in petal-inspired paillettes.
Her look proves that modern bridal fashion is all about texture! It still references traditional silhouettes, but is totally elevated by clever details that defy expectation.
Styled by Jared Eng, the bridal look was finished off with a classic veil that draped behind the bride as she floated down the aisle.
In addition to her bridal gown, Joey wore three more Oscar de la Renta outfits during her wedding. In a romantic photo with Steven, she is seen wearing the Spring 2021 Faille Vine Halter Gown.
For her reception, she donned a tulle halter gown with embroidered silk vines also from Oscar de la Renta bridal. Lastly, she wore the Spring 2022 Cape Cocktail dress for her rehearsal dinner!
We won’t be forgetting about this perfect destination wedding any time soon—from the Mediterranean venue to the bridal gown, all details came together in a heavenly fashion.
