Fun and creative ways to announce the sex of your baby

Second only to I’m pregnant!!! Revealing the sex of your baby to your friends and family and yourself for that matter, is one of the most exciting and wonderful times in a family.

If you’re looking for a fun and creative way to announce the sex of your child to the special people in your life then look no further.

1. Cake

An oldie but a goodie, its always good time for cake. After your ultrasound hand a sealed envelope with the sex of your baby to your favourite bakery. Ask them to make the cake either blue on the inside for a boy or pink for a girl. You can gather your friends and family and hold a gender reveal party, cut the cake at your baby shower or opt for a more intimate affair with your nearest and dearest or just your partner.

Whatever you decide to do this is a wonderful and exciting way to reveal the sex of your baby. You can also do the same with cupcakes, biscuits or fortune cookies you get the idea.

2. Balloons

There are several ways to use balloons in this context. One of the easiest ways is to simply put either pink or blue helium balloons in a box, wait until the moment of truth and then open.

Another alternative would be to fill a balloon with confetti and then allow yourself to be showered in either pink or blue sparkles.

If you’re in the mood to get messy you could even fill a balloon with paint, pin it to a board and through darts or even an arrow at it! Provided you have one laying around of course.

If your planning to reveal the sex of your baby to yourself as well as your friends and family you could give a sealed envelope with the sex of your child to a party supplier and allow them to take care of the finer details.

3. Piñata

Who doesn’t love a piñata. This is a similar concept as the balloon filled with confetti but with the added bonus of bashing something.

4. Pink or blue onsie

If mess isn’t your cup of tea you could open a wrapped box In front of your guests and pull out either a pink or blue onsie. Or if your feeling a tad more adventurous you could have a scavenger hunt where you hide the box somewhere for your guests to find!

5. Wear it

There are a lot of creative gender reveal T-Shirts out there that you should be able to get online. You could wear one yourself and see how long it takes for your guests to notice or if your adding to your brood you can have your little one wear a shirt that says I’m having a little….
