Looking like a real-life princess, Idina Menzel, the voice of Frozen’s Elsa, married fellow actor Aaron Lohr.
Menzel stunned fans after posting a couple of snaps of her beautiful wedding online. She wore a spectacular off-the-shoulder lace Carolina Herrera gown, styled with a whimsical veil and rhinestone headpiece by Jennifer Behr and of course a pair of Jimmy Choo’s – a Disney princess’ choice of shoe!
The lace dress was showcased in Carolina Herrera’s latest spring bridal collection and features maroon ribbon detailing. To complement her dress she carried a bouquet of white orchids, deep red roses and silvery grey greenery, a very fashionable choice in wedding flowers.
“Wanted to let you know… married the love of my life Aaron Lohr this weekend at our home. Dad & son walked me down the aisle. It was magical. Thank you to everyone who helped make my wedding day so special”, she wrote on Twitter.
Menzel began dating Lohr when they first appeared together at the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, after both starring in the award-winning film adaptation of Broadway classic Rent. It was almost a year to the date that Menzel announced that Lohr had proposed.
“As if this week couldn’t get any better I have wonderful news … my man and I are engaged!” she tweeted at the time. “We are so happy. It’s a beautiful time.”
The wedding was planned by internationally renowned Australian wedding planner and author Jo Gartin. The styling was classic and very much a reflection of Menzel’s personality.
