Flowers and Fireworks For A Koh Samui Wedding

After Vendredi (affectionately known as Dee) had recovered from a major brain surgery, his partner Natalie wanted to take his mind off things by going on holiday to Bali.

Little did she know, Dee had planned on proposing to her right there.

“He proposed in front of 5 of our good friends at a cliff top at Finn’s Beach Club, Bali,” Natalie told us. “Although a sweaty and emotional mess and thinking it was a joke, it was the most perfect moment.”

Natalie and Dee’s wedding took place in Koh Samui in Thailand, a choice which Natalie says was to create “the most fun and memorable wedding for the guests who have travelled from Australia.”

“We not only wanted a great wedding but a great holiday for everyone to enjoy and always remember.”

The wedding was a modern spin on the standard beach wedding, with a theme that consisted of dark red, gold, and plenty of greenery to compliment the destination. Adding to the charm were fairy lights and candles spread around the reception, from the tables and walkways to the trees.

“Our wedding planner was so creative, I gave her my vision and she made a fairytale come to life.”

But with the tropical destination came the tropical weather, as rain began pouring down at night. However, Natalie says it did little to ruin the day.

“For us it was the best thing that could have happened. It held off for all the formalities and important parts and at about 10 pm the rain came pouring and the party goers came out.”

“The dance floor was full and guests even took the opportunity to jump in fully-clothed to cool off. This was topped off with the most spectacular 5-minute firework display and dancing on the beach.”

The wedding was also sprinkled with unique touches, from the combi van bar to the flower swing on the beach. Natalie and Dee’s wedding was truly unforgettable.
