This couple took their fan obsession of Disney to the next level! The couple decided to add a bit of their Indian heritage to their incredible Disney wedding hosted at the beautiful Disneyland in Paris.
Combining the best of both worlds, Varun Bhanot and Anisha Seth had a Bollywood-themed wedding at the most happiest location on earth. And in doing so, this couple are making Disneyland history, taking the title as the first couple to have an Indian wedding to the magical Kingdom in Paris.
The couple exchanged vows and said “I do” in a midnight ceremony outside the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, cementing their civil union and continued their festivities with a Hindu ceremony by the theme park’s magnificent lake.
The newlyweds had their first dance with Disneyland’s all time fave couple Mickey and Minnie as well as Goofy joining the two love birds dancing to some bhangra music.
The couple were joined by their 350 guests and featured an Aladdin inspired banquet where guests could indulge in Middle Eastern and Indian delicacies.
In typical Bollywood fashion and Indian tradition, the bride wore a total of four dresses including a traditional white wedding gown and colourful Saris.
The beautiful bride, Anisha who’s favourite Disney films are Cinderella and The Lion King explained her perfect wedding as her beautiful “Happy Ever After”.
The London based couple who both share a background in event planning also ran a charity together, spending nearly a year planning their happily ever after, creating a wedding where Bollywood meets Disney.
Varun proposed last year, whisking his Princess Anisha away on a helicopter ride, popping the question with a crop circle in a field of wheat. Varun asked a farmer to write “Anisha, marry me?” on the field which could be seen from the sky where the couple were hovering over the sight.
Congratulations to the very happy couple, Anisha and Varun who got their real life fairytale!
