Learning how to get your wedding published in a magazine starts with preparation. At Wedded Wonderland, we publish real weddings from couples around the world and produce magazines of our own, so we see what makes a submission easy to say yes to. The six steps below take you from choosing a title to sending a complete submission.

Yes, a wedding can be published when it has a point of difference and the gallery, credits and consents are ready. That difference might be a setting, a family tradition, a design idea or a story that unfolds across the day.
Publications range from print and digital magazines to online blogs. Leading titles review thousands of submissions each year, so even a beautiful wedding may not be accepted. Preparation and fit improve your chances.
Choose the title that matches your wedding’s style, then study it. Look at recent issues to see whether it favours classic, relaxed, fashion-led or destination weddings. The titles below, starting with Wedded Wonderland, show how widely their requirements differ.
Decide whether you want print, online or both, and consider the region. A Melbourne wedding sits naturally in a publication with Australian readers, while an overseas celebration suits a destination-led title. Our Get Wedded in Australia magazine is one example of a regional title, and our real weddings section shows the style we publish online.

Wedded Wonderland features real love stories, from destination weddings in Santorini to a proposal in Bali. Submitting through Get Featured takes a few minutes and is free, and there are four ways to take part.
Real proposals, weddings or honeymoons need a visual gallery of 10 or more images with a highlight reel and social media edits, the couple’s love story with key details such as location, date and vendors, and consent from the photographer, content creator, videographer, couple and venue for social media and website features.
Editorial features come from stylists, planners, designers, venues and creatives, and need a high-resolution gallery of 15 to 30 images, 5 to 10 videos and 10 to 50 behind-the-scenes and social items, plus a concept story with vendor credits and the styling or creative direction outlined.
Live coverage needs the event details and location, so we can capture the day in real time and create your Wedded Time Capsule.
Influencer collaboration suits creators of wedding, beauty or luxury lifestyle content with at least 5,000 followers and quality content production, with a preference for those planning or recently having a wedding, proposal or honeymoon.
To submit, tell us about your celebration in the Get Featured form. You can write the feature yourself, and our editors polish and publish it. Once you submit, you can track progress in Wonderland Studio.
A published feature reaches more than three million followers and monthly site visitors, stays online as an editorial feature with backlinks, and is seen by vendors, planners, venues and global media.
Vogue Weddings centres on couture, society and celebrity weddings, so it suits high-profile celebrations with a strong fashion story. We could not find an open submission form, so approach the editors through a publicist or their published contact details.
Brides is one of the best-known editorial wedding titles, with upscale coverage of weddings across cultures. It accepts submissions on a rolling basis from couples, planners, photographers and PR representatives through an online form, and requires 30 days of exclusivity on real weddings. It also features engagement parties, showers and rehearsal dinners as stand-alone stories.
Modern Luxury Weddings publishes regional luxury print editions across US cities. Editions call for weddings from a set period for each issue, so check your nearest city edition before you send anything.
Carats & Cake is a luxury-focused title known for planner-led real weddings. Submit through the form on its site with an account, include a complete vendor list with business names and email addresses, and expect a review of around four to five weeks.
Over The Moon pairs luxury bridal fashion with destination weddings. Photographers, couples and planners can submit a non-expiring gallery link of up to 150 watermark-free photos in chronological order, each between 1MB and 3MB. Responses can take up to 60 days.
Tatler covers aristocratic and society weddings in the United Kingdom. We could not find a public submission form, so contact the weddings team through the magazine’s published details.
Inside Weddings is a luxury print title that publishes real weddings through an online form completed by the bride, a parent or the planner. It asks for 50 to 100 photos focused mainly on décor, details and venues, with couple portraits kept to a few, and requests cost information for research if a wedding is selected.
THE WED focuses on destination luxury and editorial weddings, and welcomes bold design and strong creative concepts. Couples, venues or vendors can submit after coordinating with the photographer and planner, with at least 100 images, a full vendor list with websites and social links, and a working gallery link. Review takes a minimum of 14 business days, and a Real Wedding Agreement sets the terms for image use and exclusivity.
The Lane is an Australian title with a global outlook and an eye for design-led weddings. Email the submissions team with Real Wedding and the couple’s names in the subject line and a Dropbox link to at least 30 images, then expect a reply within 10 business days if the submission is successful.
Grace Ormonde Wedding Style describes itself as the original luxury wedding resource in print and online, covering real weddings, bridal fashion, decor and destinations. We could not find a public submission form, so check the magazine’s published contact details.
Publications differ on who may submit. Some accept submissions only from the photographer, while others welcome couples who have the photographer’s consent. Read each title’s guidelines before you contact anyone.
Ownership of the images depends on your contract. In Australia, photographs commissioned for a private purpose such as a wedding are owned by the couple unless the contract says otherwise, and the photographer keeps a right to restrain other uses. Many photographers keep copyright and licence the images to the couple, so ask your photographer who will submit and get consent in writing.
A complete package makes a quick decision easier. Gather the items below before you write your email.
Wedded Wonderland editorial features need 15 to 30 images, 5 to 10 videos and behind-the-scenes content.
Most publications want images their readers have not seen before. Submitting to one title at a time, and waiting for a decision, protects your chance of being published. Brides, for example, requires 30 days of exclusivity and does not feature weddings that have already been published elsewhere.
Tell the editors if the gallery has appeared anywhere else, including on social media or overseas titles. Honesty helps them advise you, and they will tell you if it affects eligibility.
Write a short, clear email with everything the editors need. Here is a complete example using fictional names.
Subject: Mia and Daniel, Byron Bay, NSW
Hello,
I am the photographer for Mia and Daniel Carter’s wedding and I would like to submit it for your consideration. They married in a clifftop garden near Byron Bay in March with forty guests. Mia carried her grandmother’s brooch inside her bouquet, and Daniel’s father read a poem in Greek and English.
The gallery link and password are below, with the full day organised by subheads and web-resolution and high-resolution files available. Credits are listed below, and both the couple and the venue have given written consent for the images to be published.
Venue: Hillcrest Garden Estate, Byron Bay

Planner and stylist: Harbour and Vine Events
Florist: Wildfield Florals
Celebrant: Eleni Marsh
Caterer: Long Table Kitchen
Stationery: Paper Orchard

Hair and makeup: Studio Mirabel
These images have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Thank you for your time.
Kind regards,

Editors review submissions against their guidelines and may reply with questions about credits or details. Some publications also ask you to complete a questionnaire about your love story and suppliers, so have the information ready.
Timelines vary by publication. THE WED allows a minimum of 14 business days for review, The Lane replies within 10 business days to confirm successful submissions, Carats & Cake typically takes four to five weeks and Over The Moon can take up to 60 days. A wedding may appear online, in print or in both, and plans can change as issues come together. On Wedded Wonderland, you can track your submission in Wonderland Studio once you have submitted.
A decline rarely reflects the quality of the day. Publications receive more strong weddings than they can run, and each has its own style and schedule.
Ask the editors whether they can suggest changes, then submit to a different title once you have a decision. You can also share the gallery on your own channels. For more ideas, see our real weddings to understand how published stories are structured.
Every editorial feature has a permanent home on our website with backlinks, and reaches more than three million followers and monthly site visitors.
We also help couples plan the celebration itself. If your wedding is still ahead, Wedded Concierge can coordinate venues, suppliers and timing as part of a celebration planned with Wedded Wonderland. Start at Get Featured to share a wedding, or explore Wedded Concierge to plan one.
