Everything That Went Down At The Bridal Bazaar 2018

Were you at The Bridal Bazaar or are you currently experiencing major FOMO? While we hope it’s not the latter, we’re here to fill you in on everything that happened at Australia’s Most Luxurious Bridal Expo, hosted by Waterview Venue. It’ll almost be like you were there.

Hosted by Erin Holland and Donny Gallela with MC John Alten, The Bridal Bazaar 2018 showcased over 60 suppliers across multiple runways, exhibition stands, installations, and live performances at the Waterview Venue in Bicentennial Park.It was a night to remember with special guests such as fashion blogger Elle Ferguson.

The Winter Wonderland runway concept was styled by Diane Khoury with the runway and decor furniture from Harbourside Decorators. The runway and VIP set up featured John Emmanuel florals, Jay Production Events, Elegant Tea Time, Chandeliers To Die For and Letters by LouLou.

With the doors opening at 6, brides, bridesmaids, mothers and in-laws, grooms, and lovers of all things glamorous began streaming in to where our fabulous vendors had set up shop.

With Waterview providing tasty canapes for guests to nibble on throughout the night, there was something for everyone as they explored the various exhibition spaces from some of Australia’s leading wedding and event suppliers. Guests had the chance to meet with vendors and book everything they need – from dress fittings to honeymoons and everything in between.

Kicking off the night was the children’s runway, with our mini models showing off the latest from children’s couturiers Stellina Cute Couture, Charlize Grace Couture, and Vintage Rose by Hannah Aj. Guests witnessed a breathtaking ballerina performance by Pure Performance HQ.

With a quick word from our hosts and a chat to the lovely Elle Ferguson, it was time for the exclusive Galia Lahav runway, which featured 15 looks from the world-renowned Israeli designer, all supplied by Eternal Bridal. All the while, our VIP guests enjoyed a seat around the runway, styled by Diane Khoury with florals by John Emmanuel, with food supplied by Waterview.

Our first runway featured couture bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses from Bridal Blue, Judy Copley, Alex Goodman, Ruth Fattal, Bernadette Zackey, Helen Manuel, Couture by Carmela, Porte A Vie, Forever New, Shona Joy, Dresses For Hire, Amanda Barden and ending with J’Aton.

A special mention to Pamela Petherbridge for organising the gowns from Catherine Coulbarie. We had gorgeous models from Silverfox Management.

Meanwhile, Care To Dance took the stage with their majestic ballerinas to enchant the audience before the next show.

Surprising guests was the appearance of the bearded bakers of Knafeh, with drums from Cdarz Entertainment, on stage. Everyone followed them outside as they put on a spectacular show with Sydney Fireworks & Pyrotechnic.

The second runway featured looks from The Sposa Group, Constantina Danis and House of Emmanuele, Leah Da Gloria, Blanche Bridal, George Elsissa, Farage, Eternal Bridal, Lillian Khallouf, Anna Campbell, Rhonda Hemingway, Toscano Bridal, Fox Bridal, Alin Le Kal and ending the show with Rami Kadi.

With the runway complete, our founder Wendy El-Khoury joined the hosts on stage to announce the lucky winners from our amazing giveaways. Winners walked away with a Porte-a-vie bridal set, Bridal Blue headpiece, four bridesmaids dresses from Leah Da Gloria, $50 Rodan + Fields voucher, a stunning four bridesmaids earrings and one pair of bridal earrings from House of Emmanuele, a $1,000 Wedded Wonderland voucher, a $500 Constantina Danis voucher, Stephanie Browne Empire earrings, a $1,000 Alex Goodman voucher, a $1,000 gift voucher from George Elsissa, and a luxurious Amanda Barden Mascato bridal robe.

One of the biggest surprises of the night was the unveiling of the Proposal Suite, where one girl Melba was surprised by her partner Kablan as he asked her to marry him, along with the help of our amazing suppliers, including Chandeliers to Die for, Mary Ronis Events, Crazy About Flowers, Diamond World Fine Jewellery, Brown Sugar, and Sydney Fireworks & Pyrotechnics.

Guests enjoyed the music of Brown Sugar and DJ Trey.

The brides also went home with an amazing gift bag including products from MAC, Joico, Karen Murrell, Beauty Boosters, Skindinavia, Ardell Lashes, Alpha-H and Sante by Enjo.

If you missed out on this year’s Bridal Bazaar, never fear. We’ll be back in 2019 and we’ll be taking the show on the road to both Melbourne and Queensland.

It was just like we said – The Bridal Bazaar is no ordinary Bridal Expo.
