Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rosi Renew Their Vows!

Portia who turned 50 on Jan. 31, surprised DeGeneres, 65, during her own birthday party, wearing the same Zac Posen gown she wore to her 2008 wedding, approaching a visibly stunned DeGeneres in the dining room of their home as Brandi Carlile performs an acoustic rendition of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.”

In a ceremony full of love, nostalgia, and renewal, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi re-affirmed their commitment to each other. With Kris Jenner officiating, the couple reminisced on their intimate first wedding held at their Beverly Hills home, surrounded by just 15 close friends and family. 

As they exchanged vows, de Rossi took the opportunity to express her gratitude for DeGeneres’ love, declaring that being loved by her wife was her greatest accomplishment and biggest joy. Portia de Rossi spoke of embarking on a new journey, a new chapter after 24 homes in 18 years. She declared that this was finally their first home, where they were settling down, planting roots, and taking care of each other better than ever before. 

DeGeneres, who retired from “The Ellen Show” after 21 years of hosting, was moved by her wife’s vows, and in her own vows, expressed her adoration, love, and gratitude for de Rossi. She declared that she wouldn’t be on this Earth without her, and that she is the lucky one to have de Rossi by her side every day. It was a beautiful moment for the couple, filled with love, joy, and excitement for their future together, where they could do whatever they wanted for the rest of their lives.
