A Grand Lebanese Wedding With A Tupac Entrance

A Grand Lebanese Wedding With A Tupac Entrance

It was up in the snowy mountains of Lebanon whilst surrounded by family, that Andre popped the big question to the love of his life, Carlita.

But their family were terrible at keeping secrets, so Carlita knew all along.

“By the time he was on one knee, I was busy laughing because I had spent the whole day just waiting for him to do it! But even though I knew it was coming, it was still pretty special, because Lebanon is my favourite place on Earth. It meant so much to me that he proposed there.”

When it came to the wedding, there was only one thing Carlita knew for sure. She wanted to stand out from your average Sydney wedding and be a little bit different.

“I was obsessed with the weddings in Lebanon, so they were going to be a massive inspiration. They always have these glass tables and ghost chairs, and even though I had to search through all of Sydney for them, I made sure that I had those in my wedding. I also love all things gold, so I made sure to add little touches of that wherever I could.”

To keep it personal, the couple made sure to enter big. They played one of Carlita’s favourite Arabic songs and asked their Zaffeh to incorporate a little bit of Andre’s love for Tupac.

Even though Andre had forgotten his speech at home, and was a little bit too drunk, he still managed to give a really funny and sweet speech.

“He’s generally a massive smartarse, and he was definitely that throughout the entire speech, but I absolutely loved it. It was every bit him, and it was definitely my favourite moment of the night.”

Andre was also a massive support system for Carlita in the lead up to the wedding. In the final week, she fell prey to stress and totally freaked out, but Andre was right there by her side. Every night he would make the effort to send Carlita the sweetest texts, and tried really hard to keep her happy and calm.

Congratulations to Carlita and Andre!
