BUDDYMOON IS THE NEW HONEYMOON AND IT CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BRIDE OUTRAGE

Brides-to-Be, if you have your heart set on a romantic, intimate honeymoon with your Groom, you’d better make sure he’s on the same page!

Research by Travelex has found that the newest trend is Buddymoons – inviting friends or family to join you on the honeymoon. One-fifth of all newly-married couples are choosing a buddymoon, with the most popular destination being Dubai.

One-third of Brit Brides and Grooms said that they would take friends along to their honeymoon because ‘it would make it more enjoyable’. Doesn’t this kill the romance? All of those couple’s massages, walks along the beach and wine-filled dinners become a lot less appealing when there’s your Groom’s best friend tagging along.

One of the main reasons couples were bringing along friends and family was to save money, because with extra people, you can take advantage of group discounts, sharing accommodation and upgrading activities – but do you think it’s worth it?

Travelex listed the most popular destinations for Buddymooners – so, if your fiancé mentions a trip to one of these locations, you’d best make sure he hasn’t invited his mates!
