Despite how hard a bride tries to convince her bridesmaids (and herself) that they’ll be able to wear their dresses again, it’s general not the case. However, this bridesmaid felt it necessary to re-wear her bridesmaid dress 22 years later.
Children’s book author Tammi Sauer recently shared a picture on Facebook of her bridal party, from her wedding 22 years ago showcasing wonderful burgundy off-the-shoulder bridesmaid dresses that she handmade herself (with help from her mum, grandmother and a few random seamstresses).
She admits to getting them terribly wrong, describing the dress as “Thanksgiving tablecloth”. But her college friend and bridesmaid Heidi Mann felt it was only necessary to prove her wrong and to re wear that wonderfully burgundy number once more.
In great humour Mann, with the help of her children, staged an elaborate photoshoot in the classic dress doing a series of everyday activities from watering the garden to taking out the laundry. Proving a bridesmaid’s dress can truly stand the test of time. We love!
