This Bride Carried A Doughnut Bouquet Down The Aisle

Here at Wedded Wonderland, we’ve seen and heard of all sorts of wonderful and unconventional brides. But this one may very well take the cake (excuse the pun).

The wedding guests thought they were attending a beautifully traditional outdoor wedding in Rydal, but were in for a sweet treat, with bride Paige Kirk, expressing her brilliant sense of humour and playfulness by walking down the aisle carrying a bouquet of doughnuts. But she didn’t keep all the fun to herself, surprising her bridesmaids with their own doughnut bouquets who thought they were walking down with flowers.

“Our Bridal party was so excited when they found out we were walking down the aisle with a bouquet of doughnuts”, Paige explains with enthusiasm.

“My husband and I wanted to have fun at our wedding and we figured why not have doughnuts? Everyone loves doughnuts!”

Thanks to Sydney based gift makers Dessert Boxes, the bride made no secret of her love for doughnuts. Dessert Boxes ran a competition earlier this year searching for the perfect bride-to-be who was willing to ditch the conventional and walk down the aisle with their charming creations. Out of over 200 applicants, Paige was the winner.

Each bouquet contained the most deliciously delicate cinnamon doughnuts topped with chocolate and white chocolate flakes, nestled in with yummy Rafaellos. Totally drool worthy! We’re sure they tasted just as good as they looked as well as supplying them all of a mid-procession snack.

What do you think Fairies, will this be the beginning of a new wedding trend?
