Buffalo Bills Star Bradley Chubb Marries Lady Mendez in Romantic Florida Wedding

Buffalo Bills Star Bradley Chubb Marries Lady Mendez in Romantic Florida Wedding

Buffalo Bills star Bradley Chubb and attorney Lady Mendez celebrated their marriage with a romantic garden-inspired wedding in Florida, blending timeless elegance, meaningful family moments, and a high-energy after-party that transformed into "Club Chubb."

The best weddings know how to do both.

They can feel deeply sentimental one moment and completely unhinged on the dance floor the next.

That balance was on full display when Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb and attorney Lady Mendez tied the knot on May 23 in Boca Raton, Florida. Their wedding began with a romantic garden ceremony surrounded by white blooms and ended with a nightclub-inspired celebration overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

According to reports, the couple envisioned a celebration that felt elegant, personal, and joyful. The result was a wedding weekend that seamlessly moved from soft romance to full-scale party mode without losing its sense of intimacy.

A Wedding Rooted in Romance

The festivities began with a welcome party inspired by coastal Florida. Guests gathered for a "beach chic" celebration featuring coconut cocktails, a gelato cart, fire dancers, and cigar rolling stations.

It set the tone for a wedding weekend that was thoughtful in every detail.

The following day, guests arrived at a hidden garden venue inside The Boca Raton's Cloister property, where lush greenery and white florals transformed the space into what felt like a secret European garden.

Lady Mendez made her entrance accompanied by her father, walking down a grass-lined aisle framed by white flowers while "Can't Help Falling in Love" played. For the occasion, she wore a classic lace gown by Monique Lhuillier paired with a traditional mantilla veil and a bouquet featuring white anthuriums, calla lilies, and baby's breath.

The setting felt timeless, but it was the emotion of the moment that stood out.

As Bradley later shared with PEOPLE, seeing family and friends rise from their seats as his bride walked toward him felt "like a scene out of a movie."

Private Vows Before the Main Event. While the couple exchanged traditional vows during the ceremony, they also created a quieter moment earlier in the day.

Before guests arrived, Bradley and Lady shared handwritten personal vows in private and recorded the exchange as a keepsake for the future. It is the kind of wedding detail that often becomes more meaningful with time. Long after the flowers are gone and the dance floor is packed away, those words remain.

The ceremony itself was officiated by Reverend Paul Thibodeaux, Bradley's longtime pastor who has known him since childhood.

Following their official "I do," the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, stopping midway for a dramatic dip kiss that Lady later described as one of her favorite memories from the day.

The Escort Card Idea Guests Won’t Forget

One of the most creative details appeared during cocktail hour.

Rather than assigning tables through traditional escort cards, the couple transformed a fountain into an interactive floral installation.

White roses and greenery filled the fountain, while handcrafted paper roses were hidden among the fresh flowers. Attached to each paper bloom was a guest's name and table assignment.

Guests searched through the display to find their flower before heading into the reception. It was practical, beautiful, and completely aligned with the wedding's garden romance aesthetic.

A Reception Inspired by European Elegance

Inside the reception space, the palette shifted into soft European-inspired tones of sage, olive, blush, ivory, dusty blue, and cream.

The atmosphere felt refined without being overly formal.

Guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner featuring market salad, passion fruit sorbet, and a selection of entrées including filet mignon, wild salmon salmoriglio, brick-pressed chicken, and a vegetarian eggplant dish.

The newlyweds shared their first dance to Etta James' iconic "At Last," a fitting soundtrack for a couple whose love story began more than six years ago after being introduced through a mutual friend in New York.

The menu continued long into the evening with a four-tier wedding cake featuring yellow marble cake with strawberry filling and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, alongside an assortment of miniature desserts.

Bringing Two Cultures Together

One of the most meaningful aspects of the celebration was the way it honored both families and backgrounds.

To celebrate Lady's Dominican heritage, the entertainment featured music in both English and Spanish throughout the evening. The live band and DJs blended cultures through music, creating a dance floor where everyone felt included.

The result was a wedding that felt uniquely theirs. Not simply a beautiful event, but a reflection of the lives, traditions, and experiences they are bringing into their marriage.

Welcome to Club Chubb

Then came the plot twist. After the formal reception concluded, guests made their way to a transformed after-party space overlooking the ocean.

The couple affectionately named it "Club Chubb." Branded signage, nightclub-inspired lighting, and a completely different energy transformed the evening into a celebration worthy of its own event.

Lady changed into a floral beaded mini dress with fringe, while guests danced late into the night against sweeping views of South Florida's coastline. It was the perfect finale to a wedding that understood exactly what it wanted to be. Romantic, elegant, personal, and incredibly fun.
