After news was released that Bachelor In Paradise couple Keira Maguire and Jarrod Woodgate called it quits, Keira has revealed that her bitter split had a messy ending and shocking twist.
The reality TV star spoke to New Idea and revealed that Jarrod dumped and then ghosted her after they had an insignificant fight during a night out.
The couple were on-and-off-again throughout the series of Bachelor In Paradise and this continued to happen outside of the show. According to Keira, Jarrod cared more about hanging out with his friends rather than trying to make it work with her.
Keira revealed to Who that “He promised me the world, marriage and children and told me he was ready to settle down, but the reality is that wasn’t what he wanted at all, he was more interested in going to the pub with his mates.”
“We broke up on a drunken night out over something silly and that was it,” Keira said. “He went back to the pub and I never heard from him again. Nothing at all and that was really hard for me. I wanted it to work. I’m a sucker for a fairytale ending which is why I went on The Bachelor in the first place. Having someone ghost you is probably the hardest break-up to go through. There is no last conversation which means I had no closure. Which I really struggled with,” she states and we can’t help our hearts to break for her.
In need of an escape and to put her relationship behind her, Keira went to Bali for a girl’s weekend. However, she stated that the past only came back to haunt her after she was confronted with details of Jarrod’s new love interest after photos emerged showing Jarrod kissing a mystery blonde while on vacation in Bali.
“Jarrod was photographed with a girl on holiday and it turns out she had a boyfriend, who decided to reach out to me about their affair,” Keira said, explaining that the whole situation has been so hurtful.
Who would have thought pot plant-obsessed contestant Jarrod would want to end things with Keira like that!
