Georgia and Evan’s love story began through mutual friends from school. A few dates later, fast forward a whole decade, and they’re walking down the aisle! Evan’s proposal game was on point—while on a Bali getaway, he arranged a surprise proposal in a private villa, making it a night to remember.

The couple had always envisioned their wedding in Santorini, Greece, long before the engagement. They decided to make their dream come true in that breathtaking location. But the ‘where and when’ was the only question left hanging.

Favorite Element Of The Wedding

Their wedding day was like a fairytale. The standout? The location. It was so picturesque that guests said pictures didn’t quite capture its true beauty. With a simplistic decor design, they aimed to complement, not overshadow, the natural backdrop’s allure.

The Venue and Planning Process

Why Santorini? Well, Georgia and Evan are avid travelers, having explored numerous countries together. Santorini held a special place in their hearts after three visits during European holidays, and Evan’s Greek roots. With 70 guests attending, mainly from Australia, and some family members from Germany and Greece, the intimate affair was a perfect fit for their venue’s capacity.

The planning process? A breeze, thanks to their brilliant decision to hire a wedding planner. Kon was excellent in orchestrating everything flawlessly. 

The Wedding Dress

Georgia’s Marquise Bridal Gown, ‘The Malik,’ was a labor of love, taking 52 hours to meticulously craft. The fabrics included hand beaded soft tulle, with layers of Italian tulle on in-house shapewear for that signature Marquise Bridal silhouette. This gown was a nod to classic glamor, designed to bring back the luxe detail of weddings—a true show-stopper!

Georgia’s Favorite Moment

Georgia’s favorite moment was the day before the wedding when they finally laid eyes on the venue. It was emotional and exciting, seeing it in person for the first time after only glimpses through photos. The sheer joy of having all their loved ones gathered in one place was an absolute highlight.

Advice For Future Brides

For future brides-to-be, Georgia offers some thoughtful advice: stay in the moment, steal a quiet moment with your partner, and remember, not everything might go as planned, but that’s part of the adventure!
