The inspiration behind the wedding theme was one of the most intriguing aspects of this event. Zahra’s love for Disney princesses was the driving force, but she craved something unique and different to the traditional fairy tales. Delving into the darker side of Disney, the couple chose ‘Maleficent’ as their muse, infusing the event with a dark and moody vibe that set their celebration apart.

This extraordinary wedding took a year and a half to plan. Amidst the wedding preparations, the team also had the pleasure of organizing Zahra’s Bridal Shower and Henna ceremony, adding excitement and joy to the overall experience. Setting up the enchanting venue took an impressive 12 hours, involving a dedicated team of over 40 staff members, ensuring every detail was perfect for the couple’s special day.

The choice of Plaza Ballroom as the venue was a stroke of genius. With its majestic and gothic ambiance, it provided the perfect canvas for Zahra and Ali’s unique theme. The wedding was a beautiful fusion of cultures, celebrating the couple’s Afghan heritage, and the guest list boasted 360 friends and family members, adding warmth and love to the grand affair.
