We often get asked what goes on behind the scenes at Wedded Wonderland HQ, so we kept a diary in our brand-new Wedded Wonderland car, the Alfa Romeo GuilIetta and kept notes of all of our adventures!
10:30am – Communications Manager, Katia took the red WW mobile (as we so lovingly named it) on a trip to Steven Khalil to get fitted for a fabulous gown to wear to our Jeff Leatham media event on Thursday night (#SoExcited)
12:30pm – Editor Heather heads over to our local café, Substation for a grilled pumpkin and goat’s cheese salad.
10:00am – Our gorgeous Events Assistant, Tsoler takes a trip to Helen Rodrigues in Neutral Bay to pick-up two gowns in preparation for Wedded Wonderland’s winter-themed runway on Thursday evening. The Alfa gets back to the brim with embellished, embroidered and heavily tulled masterpieces by Inbal Dror, Jenny Packham.
3:00pm – Jeff Leatham is flying in this evening from Paris to host Wedded Wonderland’s media and celebrity ICE Event, so the WW team pack the Alfa Romeo chock-full of gifts to give to him. After loading in some fresh and healthy snacks, a few organic bottles of Australian wine and some luxury ties and cufflinks, to keep Jeff fresh throughout the week.
7:00am – Editor, Heather, picks up a car full of florals and Waterford Crystal vases (Fleurology, of course) for Jeff’s appearance on Channel 7’s The Morning Show.
8:00am – After dropping off the orchids, calla lilies and roses off at Channel 7, Heather picks up Jeff from The Langham Sydney and heads over to help prepare the set for The Morning Show.
10:30am – Following a successful appearance with Larry and Kylie, Heather and Jeff drive back over to The Langham Sydney for a morning of press interviews with Cosmo Bride magazine and PopSugar.
12:30pm – The Alfa Romeo takes Jeff and Heather to Manta Restaurant and Bar to meet Wedded Wonderland’s Director, Wendy for a much-needed lunch break, filled with fresh seafood and wine.
2:00pm – Jeff, Heather and Wendy head over to The InterContinental Sydney Double Bay to view the space where Jeff will be hosting a floral styling seminar for the industry’s most respected florists, as well as an exclusive press and celebrity dinner event.
8:00am – This morning Jeff’s hosting his floral styling seminar, so the Alfa is being driven through the streets of Sydney CBD, picking up flowers, desserts and last-minute bits and pieces.
1:00pm – With Wedded Wonderland’s big press event starting at 6pm, the Alfa Romeo is loaded up with flowers and some of the 25 gowns that are being showcased on the runway. As the styling team arrive to bump in at the venue, the Alfa is the perfect way to zip through the winding Double Bay streets to pick-up snacks, nude underwear (for the models!) and some much-needed coffee and Red Bull.
9:00pm – With the event wrapped up, the Wedded Wonderland team begin loading the GuilIetta with the gowns. Although this is a small little car, its back-seat packs a punch with enough room to comfortably fit six wedding gowns!
10:00am – The Wedded Wonderland team get a much-needed sleep in and then jump in the Alfa and head to Bar Indigo for a late breakfast before driving back to our Alexandria office!
