A Wedding Full Of Surprises

When Chris popped the question to Melissa he decided to surprise her in such a special way! Chris organised all of the kids at Melissa’s childcare centre to line up in an aisle as he awaited for her at the end. He had big balloons asking the anticipated question and got down on one knee, presenting Melissa with a ring he had designed especially for her, which took her breath away!

The couple wanted their special day to be about their journey and wanted to share it with the most important people in their lives. Their wedding was full of surprises and sentimental touches. Chris decided to wear his late father’s tie which happened to be the same tie he wore on his wedding day which made it such a special tribute.

The couple made sure everything was planned to perfection and Melissa swore by her es+elle Bridal Bible, one of our Suppliers for Wedded World 2019. “I wouldn’t have been able to put it all together without my es+elle Bridal Bible. I took that little book to every meeting and made sure I wrote absolutely everything down in it. It was definitely my Bible!” explains Melissa.

Another surprising and unique element of the couple’s wedding day was Melissa’s choice of bridal gown. “I am known for always wearing a playsuit so I figured it is my wedding, why not wear one? I had a big tulle skirt over the top, so I got the best of both worlds.”

Melissa surprised Chris as she designed his wedding band without him knowing. The couple also surprised their wedding guests by honouring Melissa’s cousin who passed away by donating funds to Mary Potter Hospice instead of wedding favours.

A beautiful, sentimental and incredible wedding for a sweet couple!
