A Vibrant Wedding At The Four Seasons Biltmore

As Nikki said, “it took a bad situation to bring something good.”

When she first met Michael, it wasn’t under the best circumstance. As the only person listed on her friend’s emergency card, Nikki rushed to the hospital after her friend was involved in a car accident. It was there that she met Michael.

“I was quite the mess since I was crying all day,” she said. “Funny thing is she would mention him to me and I to him … she was even one of my bridesmaids!”

The proposal was a family affair, with the couple heading to Michael’s family’s home to celebrate Thanksgiving Day. It wasn’t until they pulled up to the house that Nikki sensed something was different.

“He had me park the car instead of going straight into the house, which I found odd but did it anyway … when I walked in, I saw my whole family and his family, all standing with him as he went down on one knee. It was quite a shock! I love that I was surprised.”

When it came time to planning the wedding, Nikki feverishly searched Instagram accounts for wedding vendors and came across her dream suppliers, including having Rene Zadori perfectly capture their wedding day.

The couple danced the night away at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara – quite the distance from their home in Arizona.

As for Nikki’s favourite moment of the day, she says it was the first look.

“It was so emotional for us; just looking at the person you’ll be saying you’ll spend your life with.”
