A Rustic and Leafy Wedding on Belgenny Farm

Before their rustic dream wedding came to life, Cassie and Nathan’s sweet riverside proposal almost didn’t work out as Nathan had planned.

Nathan took Cassie to a lookout and gave her an iPad she had been wanting, before heading towards the riverside. Excited Cassie quickly opened her present before Nathan had joined her and was stunned to find a ring box instead of a charger inside.

“Nathan panicked and couldn’t find one of his shoes, so he quickly tied a bucket hat on his foot and hopped over so he wouldn’t get a bindi,” Cassie told us.

“I looked over at him sitting next to me, huffing and puffing from trying to rush over, before I opened it and he had the biggest smile as he got down on one knee.”

After the wedding ceremony, the reception was held at Belgenny Farm, a rustic timber and glass hall surrounded by gorgeous vineyards and trees.

“I envisioned pretty much exactly what we had – country, timber, leafy green, perfect sunny day with blue skies. The flowers were perfect too; we had succulents, a lot of greenery and a few white flowers to pop.”

Adding to the rustic and DIY feel of the wedding, Cassie and her sister created the table numbers while Nathan cut the timber centrepieces.
