A Morning With Wedded Wonderland 2019

We’ve kicked off 2019 with our very first event, A Morning with Wedded, and it was a resounding success!

On Monday, February 4th, the Sofitel Darling Harbour opened its doors bright and early in the morning to welcome over 150 business owners, all of whom were eager to learn about the latest social media and digital trends, insider tips and tricks, as well as key metrics and changing behaviours in the Australian wedding market.

With the unparalleled service offered by the Sofitel Darling Harbour, guests entered the ballroom to a delicious buffet of fruit and morning snacks before seating themselves in front of the beautiful stage and media wall, stylishly put together by Edge House Designs, Jo’s Signs by Designs, and House of Balloons with floral styling by the ever-talented Bohemian Blooms.

Introduced by the wonderful Taryn Williams from The Right Fit, Wendy El Khoury then took to the stage to delve into where and how small businesses can improve and grow for the new year. She explained the importance of connections, as well as business knowledge and industry insights, before diving straight into the findings of our annual bridal spending survey, which revealed the average cost of weddings for 2019.

In a very exciting moment, Wendy also took the opportunity to reveal some exciting news. As of 2019, the new names for the Bridal Bazaar and the B2B Inspire event will now be, Wedded World and Wedded Business, respectively. She also released the theme for this years Wedded World, which will be Parisian Chic.

Once Wendy’s informative session was complete, it was time for a networking session to wrap up the morning. Guests had the opportunity to mingle with new and old faces, including some of the best in the business; Jason James, Philip Carr, Pam Petherbridge from Bride Minded, Alison Egan of Sparkling White Smile, George Elsissa, Lillian Khallouf, and Daniella from Buttercreme Lane.

Every guest went home with a goodie bag filled with notepads and pens, thanks to New Directions Packaging, a magazine by The Wedding Series Agency, Esther & Co vouchers, and Sofitel Darling Harbour’s wedding package for 2019. 12 random bags also contained chocolate hearts by Hearts of Cupid, allowing their lucky recipients to win a Silver membership with Wedded’s new directory listing.
