This Couple Held Their Mediterranean Wedding In A 13th Centu

Australian couple, Aaron and Renee, had an intimate wedding on the picturesque coastline of Amalfi, Italy. And honestly, Fairies – we are obsessed!

Their ceremony took place in a 13^th century cloister, where the iconic medieval arches were lined with lush greenery and white floral arrangements that harmoniously complimented the Mediterranean setting. The reception followed on the belvedere terrace, under a canopy of pink bougainvillea flowers with glistening chandeliers. The table was lined with crystal candelabras, candles and hues of soft pink and white florals, creating a whimsical romantic ambiance as the sunset into the sea.

The Bride’s Highlight

“Given our family and friends travelled to celebrate our special day, we decided to have our photography prior to the ceremony so we could enjoy the aperitif, live music and more importantly, mingle with our guests. Little did I know that that our first reveal would be the most memorable moment from our wedding day. I’ll never forget the look on my husband’s face when he first laid eyes on me… His reaction moved me to tears.”

Advice For Brides

“Being a meticulous planner, I had to accept that there are things outside of my control. Like majority of women, you worry about rain on your wedding day. I must have prayed a little too hard as we were blessed with a heatwave and excessive humidity. Thankfully my hair & MUA stayed for touch ups up until the ceremony and I changed into my reception gown shortly after the aperitif. Looking back, the unexpected events on my wedding day were humorous and most memorable. So my advice is to not to get caught up in the details & enjoy the moment.”
