Disney-themed weddings are always a treat for the eyes, and Amy & Jaron’s special day was no exception. The lovebirds had known each other for quite some time through their community and had a chance encounter at World Bar in 2015, where they hit things off. Jaron proposed to Amy at Disneyland, amidst the magical fireworks display – a truly unforgettable moment for the couple.
The Four Seasons was the perfect venue for Amy & Jaron’s Disney-themed wedding, with its fairytale architecture and giant screen providing an excellent backdrop for the Disney castle logo, which Amy herself created. The giant photo booth and Mickey Mouse ears for guests were a delightful touch, and the Rapunzel story book placed in the background added to the fairytale feel of the event.
Guests were also given a chance to upload their photos through a QR code on the wall. The gown, which had ‘Happily Ever After’ embroidered on it, was the perfect accessory for the bride. Amy designed the gorgeous gown herself and it was brought to life by Nicky Velani. She had always envisaged herself as a princess on her wedding day so the exaggerated A-line and long train were a must. Nicky and Amy brainstormed the details of the dress together, including the intricate pearls and wording on the train. There were even pockets, every girl’s dream!
Amy’s father had organised some incredible performances for the wedding. Guests were treated to African Dancers from South Africa, a Girls Choir from Australia, and a Jewish performance by Reigan Derry. The entertainment provided a delightful mix of cultures that represented the South African Jewish backgrounds of the newlyweds.
We had the opportunity to chat with Amy & Jaron and asked them about their favourite thing about each other. Amy shared that Jaron always manages to calm her down and reminds her to ‘look at the bigger picture’ in stressful situations. Jaron, on the other hand, was all praise for Amy’s unwavering support.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening filled with magic and love, and Amy & Jaron’s Disney-themed wedding was a night to remember. The attention to detail and thought put into every aspect of the event was evident, and it was a joy to see the couple surrounded by family and friends as they celebrated their love story.
