A Croatian Bride Marries Her Italian High School Sweetheart

High school sweethearts first met at a friend’s birthday party when Adriana and Anthony were only 17 years old. Anthony went up to talk to Adriana that night at the party and the rest was history. Funny what a short dress can do to catch a man’s attention!

Adriana and Anthony were celebrating their 5 year anniversary in Queenstown, New Zealand. Adriana planned their entire itinerary for their entire stay, so she knew what was planned every second of the trip. On the couple’s third day of their trip the two decided to take photos before making their way to lunch. What seemed a like an opportunity to get a new profile picture, Adriana was completely caught off guard when Anthony got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! They both got the pictures they were after and so much more!

Adriana’s bridal gown was a stunning lace fitted dress with a slight flair at the bottom and tulle train, accentuating her figure. Adding a sentimental touch to her bridal look, Adriana wore her mum’s headpiece from her wedding. Adriana had 8 beautiful bridesmaids who stunned in a gorgeous royal blue dress with a slight cowl neck by Bec and Bridge.

The couple held their celebration at the Doltone House and it was styled to perfection with beautiful white floral arrangements and lush greenery. Their wedding favours were truly something unique – personalised illustrations of Anthony and Adriana as car air fresheners!

The couple incorporated their diverse backgrounds into their modern and elegant wedding. The Italian groom, Croatian bride along with their guests got up on their feet and danced all long to both traditional Tarantela and Kolo dances.
