A Colourful Beachside Wedding at Jonah’s

With an uninterrupted view of the Pacific Ocean from its place high upon the cliffs of Whale Beach, Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel is a dream location for couples seeking seaside luxury.

For Ashley and Gavan, Jonah’s was the only choice.

“When we got engaged, Gavan said he knew exactly where he wanted to get married,” Ashley told us. “We went to Jonah’s for lunch and instantly fell in love with the amazing venue, service and food.”

The ceremony, which took place in Jonah’s stunning cliff-top garden, was a bright floral affair, with white, pink, and red flowers filling the arch and scattered petals lining the aisle. Going for a modern and intimate theme, Ashley and Gavan found Jonah’s luxurious design to be the perfect backdrop.

“With a venue like Jonah’s that is so amazing on its own, it didn’t need much styling. As they use a lot of neutral colours throughout the venue, we were able to bring in that pop of colour through our flowers.”

Moving to the reception – a stylish function room with glass windows that provides a sublime view of an endless stretch of blue – guests were treated to Jonah’s award-winning food and exquisite drinks as they danced the night away. Surrounded by their loved ones and with the ocean as their audience, Ashley and Gavan celebrated their new life together.

“Our most memorable moments were seeing everything we had planned come together, having our family & friends share in our love, and after all the formalities the drinks were flowing and everyone just danced.”
