Monique and Thomas wed in a stunning and intimate ceremony at the Cathedral of St Stephen, followed by a fun and classic reception at the heritage listed Customs House Brisbane.
“Thomas and I wanted a small and intimate wedding, to be shared with only our closest family and friends – being Italian and Greek having around 110 guests is definitely considered a small, intimate wedding!” Bride Monique told Wedded Wonderland.
Monique’s was a vision in white in a unique gown by DARB Bridal Couture, perfectly reflecting her simple yet trendy fashion style. “I showed my designer a photo of the fabric I was after – a crushed brocade style, which he sourced from Milan. Having the dress covered in this crushed styled fabric I also wanted to add something softer and a bit dramatic to give it that extra edge, and from this we created beautiful ruffles that gave asymmetric lines made from silk organza.” The outcome was definitely unforgettable!
Reflecting back on their Special Day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland the two best moments of the night would have to be walking into their reception and seeing their vision come to life, as well as the beautiful and heart-warming speeches by those closest to them.
