This Bohemian Estate Wedding is dreamy!
Meghan and Lewis both grew up in the country surrounded by vineyards and beautiful scenery, so it only made sense they would hold their Wedding in a similar setting, and it looked utterly magical!
“We would describe ourselves as a really laid-back, casual couple that love catching up with friends and family to enjoy great food and wine so that was our wish for our wedding,” Meghan and Lewis told Wedded Wonderland. Their Special Day began with a ceremony where Meghan walked down an aisle lined with candles, which with the sunlight shinning through the church stained glass windows made for a beautifully relaxed and romantic feel.
“One of the most special moments from the ceremony was when Lewis and I read out little cards which we had written down a few words and promises on. We loved how personal this made our ceremony feel and made for a memory we will cherish always.”
This was followed by a cocktail style reception at the beautiful Hills View Estate, a property that looks over canola fields and had a gorgeous old Chaff mill barn. The romantic, bohemian feel of the day continued in the styling of the reception, which was adorned in festoon lighting, candles and beautiful foliage table runners and arrangements.
“We began the evening on the lawns looking out onto the canola and beautiful gardens, then after the speeches Lewis, I and all the guests moved into the old mill where the band began and Lewis and I shared our first dance. The Chaff Mill that opened up for the first dance was cool. It was like a whole new part of the reception that was a surprise to the guest. Once the doors opened there was a huge wow factor, as most of the guests didn’t know there was anything inside the barn. From this point on the dance floor as officially open and the party really started.”
