In a post-covid era (we hope) of Weddings, what do you think has changed most in Couples’ decisions around your industry/product offering?
In a post-covid era, brides and guests alike are loving statement heels. Think higher heights, diamante trims, saturated colours & femme bows. After 2 years of social distancing and lockdowns, consumers are ready to have some fun and this is reflected in the bold and exciting trends this season;
Are there any particular trends you see standing out for 2022 you would like Couples to be aware of? include colours, materials, styles
2022 trends bring back drama and leaves behind pared back minimalism. We are seeing jewel coloured lustrous satins, sculptural heels, finely caged strappy uppers, and plenty of bling in material and trims. White of course will still be a key colour for brides. What is Billini doing in gearing up for 2022 Weddings?
We are launching a new Bridal edit in 2022, as well as continually expanding on our occasion heels to cater to weddings and other events. We have just launched a new line of wide fit heels in bridesmaid friendly styles, and this has been a big success, allowing bridesmaids more comfort and ease of wear throughout the day and into the night. We are also set to launch a very exciting accessories collection in collaboration with celebrity hairstylist Natalie Anne. Statement head and hair accessories are a big trend for brides & bridesmaids alike, and our Natalie Anne x Billini collection does not disappoint. In 2022 Billini will (literally) have you glammed from head to toe!
What piece of advice can you offer Couples in planning their Wedding for 2022?
Don’t get caught up on the pursuit of perfection, plans can change but it’s important to enjoy the process and be present in the moment. It goes by so fast! COVID has shown us that couples need to be creative and flexible, and against all odds can still achieve beautiful ceremonies and receptions no matter the limitations.
With so many incredible celebrity and influencer Proposals, Engagements, and Weddings playing out across the globe, what has really stood out for you as a trend that will stick?
Individualism. The best celebrity/influencer proposals, engagements, and weddings are reflective of their couple story e.g. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s proposal was very much true to them! A proposal, engagement, and wedding is a celebration of the love and union between two people, and each event should celebrate the essence of that couple. Stay true to your story!
