There are proposals, and then there are My Proposal Co. proposals. The kind that involve thousands of flowers, candlelit pathways, private rooftops, fairy lights, and occasionally, an entire fireworks display timed to the exact moment someone says yes.
Founded in 2015 by romance enthusiasts and proposal planners Tania and Gloria, My Proposal Co. was created with one goal in mind: making once-in-a-lifetime moments feel exactly that. Over the years, the duo has brought elaborate ideas to life at remarkable locations for clients who want their proposal to be more than just a beautiful question. Think creative concepts, thoughtful styling, and the kind of behind-the-scenes coordination that probably involves climbing a ladder with an armful of flowers.
From the bottom of the ocean to the edge of Sydney Harbour, these are five My Proposal Co. moments that have us wondering whether a simple dinner reservation is still enough.
Red roses, dramatic statues and a luxe poolside setting set the scene for this seriously cinematic proposal.

There was nothing understated about this one, and that was precisely the point. My Proposal Co. transformed the poolside into a romantic red and pink fantasy, complete with florals, flickering candlelight and sculptural details that made the entire setting feel like a scene from a particularly expensive romance film.
With roses surrounding the couple and the water adding another layer of drama, the moment he got down on one knee became the grand finale to an already unforgettable setup. If you are going to propose by a pool, this is the energy to bring.
Forget dinner with a view. This proposal came with sharks, marine life and 360-degree aquarium views.

For couples who have never been interested in doing things the conventional way, My Proposal Co. took romance beneath the surface at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium.
Set inside the venue's shark tunnel, this proposal was surrounded by the incredible underwater world moving overhead and around them. The glass tunnel offered a completely immersive backdrop, proving that sometimes the perfect proposal venue is not a garden, restaurant or beach. Sometimes, it is quite literally under the sea.
A proposal with sharks sounds like a risky business decision, but visually? Absolutely no notes.
Just when you thought Sydney Harbour could not be any more dramatic, this proposal added fireworks.

Sydney Harbour is already one of those locations that does half the work for you. The skyline, the water and the unmistakable sense of occasion are enough to make almost any moment feel special.
But for this My Proposal Co. client, almost special was clearly not the brief.
As the newly engaged couple celebrated their yes, fireworks lit up the harbour, creating a proposal reveal with the kind of timing usually reserved for New Year's Eve. With help from Sydney Fireworks & Pyrotechnic, the display was coordinated to arrive at exactly the right moment.
Some couples celebrate an engagement with champagne. Others apparently celebrate with a personalised fireworks show. We support both.
A grand tree draped in fairy lights turned a Hunter Valley winter evening into something straight out of a film.

Winter proposals have one major advantage: those early sunsets. My Proposal Co. made the most of that golden window with a magical setup centred around a towering tree illuminated by countless fairy lights.

Set in the Hunter Valley, the proposal embraced everything that makes an evening engagement feel intimate and cinematic. As daylight faded, the lights transformed the tree into the centrepiece of the moment, creating a glowing setting that felt both grand and deeply romantic.
Proof that you do not need a ballroom full of flowers to create something spectacular. Sometimes, you just need the right tree and a lot of fairy lights.
White florals, candlelight, a Central Coast sunset and a walk towards one very big question.

There is something particularly effective about a proposal that builds anticipation with every step. For Julian and Taylor, My Proposal Co. transformed a Central Coast jetty into a pathway towards one of the biggest moments of their lives.

Taylor walked down the jetty as white florals and candlelight lined the way, while the sunset reflected across the water. By the time she reached Julian, the setting had already done enough to get the tears started.
And once she said yes? There were hugs, laughter, tears and the kind of joy that reminds us why proposals continue to be one of the most emotional events in the wedding journey.
It was romantic, cinematic and proof that sometimes the most beautiful proposal backdrop is simply nature, elevated with very good planning.
What these five proposals have in common is not a particular colour palette, venue or budget. It is the feeling that each moment was designed around creating a memory the couple would genuinely want to relive.
That is the beauty of a proposal done well. The ring may be the part that lasts forever, but the story behind how it arrived matters too.
Whether that story takes place beneath sharks, under a fairy-lit tree, beside a pool or with fireworks exploding over Sydney Harbour, My Proposal Co. proves there is no single formula for getting down on one knee.
And if these proposals have you mentally forwarding this article to your partner, there may be a very good reason to do so.
