What Goes Up, Must Come Down…
So, how are you feeling? If you were strongly hit by the new ELECTRIC Uranian energy which started to pour into the planet last month then by now you could be feeling rather …. Blah! The thing is that the new Uranus energy is WILD! However we all know that when our lives go WILD it can also be rather (excuse caps) EXHAUSTING.
It’s only been a month since Uranus, changed signs, moving from Aries into Taurus. Even if you are not Aries or Taurus (and don’t have either of these signs rising) it’s likely you are feeling a bit wired, a bit different and possibly a tad discombobulated (see below).
Just to explain; this is because of the new jangly Taurus/Uranian energy which sets everyone just a bit on edge as we acclimatise to it. Even on the world stage, there are likely to be curveballs and more uproars than usual as people act out (on again off again USA/Korean summits, anyone?)
If you are a meditator, or you do yoga or you chant, it will be a good idea to up your practise this month. That will help you to ride the waves. Remember, Uranus is also the planet of madness, so when it’s triggered, we are too!

The very good Venus (love and abundance) juju…
Venus represents the Goddess of love Aphrodite and also all things luxurious and expensive. She starts this month in the sign of Moonchild (the sign formerly known as Cancer.) Venus here is gentle, receptive and feminine. She is soft and sweet. She loves to cook and nurture. It’s a great month to gather your family around you.
Here’s where Venus is for you as we move into June…

Venus is now moving through your fourth house of home and family. Moreover, worth mentioning is the fact that in the first half of June, all the connections Venus makes with other planets are positive and heart-warming so there are so good days for love and money ahead! And then in the second half, there are more challenges. Here is the rundown.
- June 1 – Venus and Jupiter connect in a really healthy way. It makes the night before and this day great for any matters to do with love or abundance. PLUS Venus is also connecting with dreamy Neptune. Dreams can come true, especially dreams related to love and riches, and double-especially for anyone born in the middle of the Cancer/Moonchild period.
- June 5 – Venus connects with powerful Pluto. Obsessions in love abound. Is it love or are you just overly infatuated? Either way, expect intensity. Could bring very powerful money negotiations. Look for a win/win outcome.
- June 14 – note that Venus clashes with Uranus today so the mood could change and/or there could be turnarounds to do with love and money but not necessarily the ones you were expecting.
- June 21 – Venus and Mars get together – good for canoodling, good for arguing!
- June 25 – how much love is too much love? How much money is too much money? Those are the questions du jour!
The Spotlight Shifts In The Second Half Of The Month
The spotlight shifting in the second half of the month when the Sun moves into Moonchild (The sign formerly known as Cancer.) From June 1 to 21, the Sun is in the sign of Gemini. Here’s where that puts the focus for you:
Your personal life is now in the spotlight, so expect the spend the next four weeks doing some deep thinking about your past and how it got you to where you are now. Family issues – your parents, in particular, but all family – are now likely to take centre stage. If you need to reconnect with them, this is the time to do it, even if it means only getting on the phone and/or hooking up the web cam. Your actual home is also in focus now – look at how happy you are with where you live, how you live and who you live with. If there is something or someone from your past that still troubles you, now is the time to go and investigate it to see if you can release it and move on.

And then Mars stalls…
The action planet Mars will stall in the sign of Aquarius (remember we all have Aquarius in our chart somewhere!) This is ahead of a retrograde cycle. Mars only retrogrades about once every two year. Mars is the masculine planet of desire and moving forwards. Mars is about Getting Things Done. So when he stalls, it’s a time to breathe. Don’t try and move forwards too fast, you will just be frustrated! So here is where Mars is reversing for you.
For you, Mars is going backwards in your 11th House – this affects your friends and the groups you belong to. Just before the retrograde started, if you’ve been uncharacteristically upfront with your mates, now you know why. Mars was going forwards in this part of your chart and imbuing it with his firepower. Mars is the planet of aggression – if you’ve found it harder than usual to keep your cool in group situations, this is also why. Try not to let it become a habit, and if you need to take back some of your anger, the retrograde period might just allow it. What’s more, Mars has hopefully also fired you up with the energy and urge to go out and meet new people during this transit through this part of your chart – which has to be a good thing. Now, as he stalls in your 11th House, it focuses this hot Mars energy to connect with a wider group.
