She’s Posh Spice for a reason: Victoria Beckham has been the epitome of style since the 90s and she proved this at her recent 50th birthday spectacle. And her guests brought it! The fashion on display at her party served as a real masterclass in modern elegance, with guests opting for statement-making looks that have us scribbling notes for our next wedding attendance.
From slip dresses in every color of the rainbow to sparkling sequins, we couldn’t help but take notes to improve our own wedding guest outfit ideas. Gone are the days of mini dresses, floor length gowns and midi dresses exude a classic elegance. Even Victoria’s daughter, Harper, who is only 12, opted for a floor length slip dress.
The highlight? A mini Spice Girls reunion! David Beckham filmed the iconic girls group singing their 1997 hit, ‘Stop’, while the girls wore a range of formal dresses that would work perfectly as wedding guest outfits. And yes, it was fully choreographed!
With the black tie theme, it makes sense that the gentlemen would be suited up like James Bond. But, with the resurgence of alternative suits, particularly on the red carpet, it felt very dapper seeing the men step out in classic black tuxedos.
Led by the birthday girl herself, Victoria rocked a sheer blue dress, ironically without a slip (who would have thought that sheer dresses and slip dresses would both be trending… but separately!). The soft pastels, intricate detailing perfectly offset the otherwise risque ensemble. Was she the best dressed guest? Obviously.
