Yes, we do! The Travelling Hands are available to perform anywhere in the world. If you'd like to find out more, get in touch, and we'll be happy to share our overseas prices and package options tailored to your event location.
Pre-Wedding Day Party or Rehearsal Dinner: Hosting a party or rehearsal dinner the night before your wedding? Live music is always a fantastic addition! Whether during a drinks reception or as the main entertainment for the evening, our roaming performances bring a fun, interactive element that surprises and delights guests. With opportunities to sing, dance, and kick off the celebrations in style, it's a memorable way to set the tone for the big day. Post-Wedding Day Lunch: The day after the wedding is another great opportunity to feature live music. Whether your guests are winding down and enjoying a slower-paced lunch or still in a celebratory mood, we tailor our performances accordingly, offering gentle ambience or lively entertainment to keep the celebrations going.
Our costs for performances in Europe start from $13,600, with all other international performances starting from $17,800.
Amplified performances ensure that all your guests can enjoy the music simultaneously, no matter where they are seated or standing. With this setup, our team works with your event's production company, or we can recommend trusted providers (think of this as your sound and light experts). They'll supply wireless microphones and packs for our instruments, allowing us to maintain the roaming entertainment we're known for while projecting the music through speakers placed around the performance area. Imagine a live playlist during your wedding breakfast, where every guest can enjoy the music-even if we're performing at a table on the opposite side of the room. Amplification enhances the delivery of the music and elevates the overall experience. We highly recommend this option, especially for larger weddings or parties where you'd like the music to take centre stage. It's a fantastic way to heighten the experience for you and your guests.
Yes! We love joining guests on the dance floor for an immersive, high-energy performance that brings the celebration to life. It's a fantastic way to keep the party going and create unforgettable memories with your friends and family. To ensure the best sound and atmosphere, amplification is required for dance floor sets. This allows us to maintain the clarity, volume, and energy needed to deliver a truly impactful performance. We're happy to work with your production team or recommend trusted AV partners to help make it all seamless.
We believe your entertainment should look as stylish as your celebration. Since 2017, The Travelling Hands have been proudly sponsored by Marc Darcy®, offering timeless British style for every event we attend. Ahead of your wedding day, we'll share our current suit selections, allowing you to choose the perfect look to complement your special day.
In addition to the performance fee, overseas events will require covering travel expenses such as flights, transfers, and accommodation. There may also be costs for instrument hire or audio production, particularly for amplified performances. Depending on the destination, additional expenses could include visas, work permits, or vaccines as advised by the NHS. We'll provide a detailed breakdown based on your event location and requirements.
We can handle all travel arrangements ourselves or coordinate directly with your event planner to ensure a seamless booking process. You have the flexibility to decide who manages the logistics, allowing us to adapt to your preferences and event needs.
In many cases, hiring instruments locally is the most cost-effective option. We recommend working with your planning team, venue, or sound production team to source instruments from reputable hire companies, and we're happy to liaise with them to ensure the instruments meet our performance standards. We typically bring our saxophone with us, though we'll need to confirm airline policies to ensure it can be carried as cabin luggage. For larger instruments like the double bass, we always require local hire due to transport limitations.
The travel schedule depends on the timing of your event. While same-day travel is occasionally possible, we generally recommend arriving the day before the event and departing the day after. This allows us to mitigate any potential travel delays and ensures the band is well-rested and fully prepared to deliver the best performance for your event.
The Travelling Hands have a range of performance options available. Our most popular performances are for sets that total between 1.5 and 2 hours. Typically this consists of 2x45 or 3x40 minute sets during the afternoon reception and into the wedding breakfast (dinner) as our most popular performance option.
We offer flexible performance times to suit your dream wedding schedule - whether it's a single-day celebration or a multi-day event. We're best known for our lively sets during the wedding meal (often called the 'wedding breakfast' in the UK) - a brilliant way to energise your guests and kick-start the party. We also regularly perform during afternoon drinks receptions (like champagne receptions) to create a relaxed and joyful atmosphere as guests mingle. You can even include a set during the dinner itself, typically before the DJ begins, to build momentum for the evening. For multi-day weddings, we can also perform at your welcome party or rehearsal dinner, or at a post-wedding lunch or pool party to round off the celebrations in style.
