The proposal happened on an island you can reach only by sea or sky.

Tyler Cameron got engaged to Tate Madden on a beach at Little Palm Island in the Florida Keys, and the couple announced it in a joint Instagram post on Saturday 15 August 2026. Their caption: "Better late than never they say."
Two months later, the news got bigger. On 20 October, live on Dancing with the Stars, they revealed they are expecting a baby girl.
Saturday 15 August is the date on record, the day the joint post went up. The proposal day itself has not been made public.
The ring? USA TODAY called it "prominent". No designer or carat has been shared yet.
The question had been in the air since at least March. That month the pair titled a YouTube episode "Why Hasn't Tyler Proposed? Tyler & Tate Talk Marriage & Life Together", and he promised it would happen "soon".
He kept his word.
TMZ says he "got down on one knee on the beach" in white trousers and a striped button-down. Madden wore a "floral-patterned white sundress".
The nerves were real. "The proposal was nerve-wracking because everything I wanted to say was gone," he told People, as The Tab reported.
His brother Ryan wrote, "He did it, people." Colton Underwood added, "Sending so much love."
Cameron finished runner-up on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette in 2019. Madden came into the picture three years later.
They met in 2022 on the set of Going Home with Tyler Cameron, his home renovation show, where she worked as a photographer. She lives in Jupiter, Florida, his hometown.
Their first date was in September 2023, on her 30th birthday. He confirmed the relationship a year later, in September 2024, during an Amazon Live segment.
People describes her today as a model, photographer and interior designer.
The night they got home from the proposal. "The night we got back from getting engaged, I took the [pregnancy] test," Madden told People, in an exclusive carried by AOL.
She went straight to Cameron: "You're not going to believe this."
Soon after, they moved to Los Angeles for his season of Dancing with the Stars and told only a small group of friends and family.
His rehearsal schedule meant he missed the ultrasound. "Tate brought me a picture of the ultrasound to New York City when I finally got to see her again," he said. "Seeing that picture was when it really, really was real for me."
Then they kept the secret until Dedication Night.
On Tuesday 20 October, Dedication Night on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars, Cameron and Sharna Burgess danced a contemporary routine to Ed Sheeran's "Supermarket Flowers".
Good Morning America reported that it honoured mothers, including his own, Andrea, who died in March 2020 after a brain aneurysm.
"I think my mom put Tate in my life for sure," he said through tears before the routine.
Then, in a voiceover: "You would have loved the woman I'm going to marry. All the things that made you special, I found in her."
Andrea was 55, and she was the one who told him to go on The Bachelorette.
At the end of the routine, Madden joined them on the floor and announced the pregnancy in her own voiceover. Host Alfonso Ribeiro then said, "Let's have a gender reveal."
The confetti came down pink.
If you watched live, you learned it was a girl at the same moment they did. "I get to be a girl dad," Cameron later told People. "What a gift, what an opportunity."
The judges gave them 32 out of 40. Bruno Tonioli called it "dancing with three hearts beating as one". Nobody went home.
On 26 October, Madden shared a text from Cameron on her own Instagram, Bachelor Nation reported, adding that the couple expect to meet their daughter next year.
One line reads: "Having a girl as our first child is exactly what we needed."
Her caption: "No dream will ever be better than the reality I am living with you."
No wedding date or venue has been announced. People reported that the couple plan a long engagement, with no pressure on wedding planning.
Madden put it simply: "I've decided I'm not going to stress myself out, and I'm just going to focus on one thing at a time."
So, married? Not yet. Engaged, expecting, and in no hurry.
