Josh and his high school sweetheart, who began dating right after graduation, celebrated their love story with a magical proposal during a trip to LA. The enchanting moment took place on the morning of a visit to Disneyland, the bride’s favorite place, creating an unforgettable start to their journey to the altar. Little did she know, friends were secretly witnessing the proposal from their hotel room windows.
Inspired by the Positano setting, the couple aimed for a timeless wedding theme. Personalized touches, such as lemon granita upon arrival and custom hand-painted fans by the bride’s Nonna, added unique flair. The most distinctive detail was having the bride’s brother-in-law serve as the celebrant, making the ceremony truly personal.
Despite being from Sydney, the couple chose the picturesque destination of Positano for their wedding, drawn to its charm after multiple family trips. After floating the idea of a European wedding in 2023 to close friends and family, the couple settled on Villa Oliviero. Despite initial fears about attendance, the couple was thrilled to have 90 friends and family members from Sydney, London, and New York join them for the celebration.
The bride’s gown became a family affair as her parents own Brides In Love in Sydney. Collaborating with her mom, she ended up with three stunning dresses—a ceremony gown, a fitted reception gown, and an afterparty mini dress. Each dress was a perfect reflection of the bride’s unique style.
Among the wedding’s many memorable moments, the bride cherished a pre-ceremony stroll through the bustling streets of Positano with the bridal party, capturing the attention of tourists and locals alike. The couple, surrounded by cheers of “tanti auguri,” celebrated with drinks in the town square, creating a joyous and non-traditional lead-up to the ceremony.
Offering advice to future brides, bride Tiara emphasized the value of pre or post-wedding events with guests, creating an extended celebration over four days. This approach alleviated the pressure on the big day, allowing the couple to savor each moment without feeling rushed. The four days of celebration not only culminated in a beautiful wedding but also provided lasting memories and connections with loved ones.
