Today, we’re throwing it right back to March 2014, when we had the pleasure of hosting international floral extraordinaire Karen Tran for the first time, at the Watson Bay Boutique Hotel. During her stay Karen Tran held floral masterclasses for budding florists and showcased her awe-inspiring work during an intimate dinner with guests from the Australian creative industry.
Karen Tran created the floral arrangements using thousands of the world’s best flowers sourced locally and from Vietnam, Columbia and Singapore, with assistance from Australian floral designer, Vesna Grasso. All her efforts were on show in a breathtakingly extravagant floral display throughout the intimate dinner.
The Sunset Room at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel was the perfect setting for the event, with its classic decor and lively atmosphere. A grand pianist and singer Prinnie Stevens entertained the guests throughout the evening, while models dressed in Australia’s leading designers mingled in the crowd.
Decorative Events & Exhibitions and Jason James Design also contributed their creativity to make the night a success, while Crystal Head Vodka supplied cocktails and Lisa McGuigan matched wine to the exquisite menu.
