An American same-sex couple got a shock when just a month before their Wedding Day, they received this RSVP card that came out of nowhere.
Keith and Chad had sent out Wedding invitations to family and friends, but were heartbroken when they opened up their mail to receive this unsigned response. It said, “you have sent an invitation to the wrong people, it’s not normal for two men to marry. What is wrong with you, it’s a sin!!!!”
The pair are puzzling over their guest list trying to work out who would send such an awful letter, but are determined to continue with their Wedding (scheduled for this May), with Keith saying “I never even thought about cancelling and quite frankly, other than our initial shock of the letter, this made us both want to do it more.”
The couple posted the note on Facebook and it’s been shared thousands of times across the world. It was seen by their local New Vision UCC church and the congregation has offered to host a ‘card shower’ for the men, where supporters can send love and letters to the pair. The church will act as a go-between to make sure the couple get all the positive messages and are protected from any hate mail.
