We’ve all planned out the perfect proposal. Millions of candles leading up to a king sized bed, scattered with roses spelling “Will You Marry Me?” and turning around to see the love of your life down on one knee with a dazzling ring. Or even popping the question at a candle-lit dinner on a private island with a string orchestra. The possibilities are endless.
But when it comes to popping the question for celebrities, they definitely go out with a bang.

It’s a whole new world with lovebirds John Stamos & Caitlin McHugh. John prepared a Disney Fairytale moment putting together a little movie of the most romantic moments of the Disney and Pixar Animation for his Disney-obsessed girlfriend. At the one and only Disneyland, the clip was revealed to Caitlin with the Little Mermaid saying “just ask the girl”. Absolute magic!

#Kimye is by far our favourite celebrity couple. Over the top and extravagant, Kanye never fails to surprise Kim. Totally unexpected, Kanye proposed to Kim at the San Francisco Giants Stadium on her 33rd birthday. With the entire stadium rented out, family and friends in hiding and a 90-piece orchestra, this was definitely a celebrity proposal to remember.

Magic Mike actor Joe Manganiello popped the question to Modern Family star Sofia Vergara a year and a half after dating, quickly buying the engagement ring only shortly after they started dating! Over Christmas in Kauai, Hawaii at the St. Regis Hotel, Joe went on one knee at sunset, proposing in Spanish to Columbian Sofia, practising his lines beforehand to say, “Eres mi todo” which translated to “You are my everything”.

This one came to us as a shock. Pink decided to pop the question to her now husband Carey Hart during a motocross race in 2005. Whilst assisting the race, Pink wrote on a sign, “Will you marry me? I’m serious!”, once Carey noticed he quit the race and said yes!

NFL star Russel Wilson popped the question to Ciara on a surprise vacation in 2016. With a game of ‘travel roulette’ containing 30 possible destinations, they ended up arriving in Seychelles where Wilson adorably proposed on Honeymoon Beach.

There is something beautifully sentimental about having your kids involved in your proposal, and this is exactly what Dwayne Wade did in 2013. He hired his sons and nephew to perform a presentation with hand-held signs saying “Will You Marry Us?” during their family-quality time. Adorable.
