There’s a Home and Away Wedding on the way, and even though it doesn’t look like the Bride or Groom are going to die (which is a nice surprise when you consider the program’s many past nuptials that have resulted in grisly death!), there’s still a whole lot of Wedding Day drama.
The Bride is Billie Ashford (played by Tessa De Josselin) who is Marrying her schoolboy boyfriend, VJ Patterson (played by Matt Little). Billie is heavily pregnant in her gorgeous strapless gown; however, she’s yet to confirm who that father is!
In the sneak previews, Billie is seen being given away by her brother Ash before she leaves her poor beau VJ at the altar in front of their friends and family.
VJ runs after his Bride and, although viewers know that he’s not the father of her unborn child, he seems to remain in the dark about the paternity.
Billie was sexually assaulted by a gunman earlier in the season while she was working at the local Summer Bay gym. Billie spilled on the assault to her friend Phoebe and in an interview with TV Week, Tessa revealed, “Billie has a conversation with Phoebe which alerts her to the possibility that the truth could come out. It’s high stress for her because she is being deceitful.”
