So, it’s finally your wedding day and you’re preparing to get all glammed up. You’ve woken up, washed away last night’s sleep, and you’re ready to go – but this isn’t just like any other morning. Baggy pyjamas and fluffy slippers can be put aside (just for today, we promise) for something a little more glamorous. It’s time to treat yourself.
Bridal robes are the perfect – and most stylish – way to begin your wedding day. Luxurious and comfortable, bridal robes can make you feel like a million bucks, even if it is 5 in the morning.
They’re an easy and fashionable way to treat yourself, as well as your bridal party. Plus the complementing robes that you’ll all be rocking with your hair and makeup makes for the ultimate #bridalsquad photo. Not only will your bridesmaids appreciate the gesture, but they’ll also get to keep a gorgeous memento from the day – one which they can wear again and again.
WW Member Amanda Barden has been creating gorgeous bridal robes since 2013, making brides and bridesmaids alike feel beautiful with her delicate fabrics and ethereal designs.
The robes that Amanda creates are not only limited to the bride’s house right before the wedding – customers have taken them around the world with them, for honeymoon shoots that inspire wanderlust and for beautiful maternity shoots. We spoke to her about her fabulous collection and why bridal robes are all the rage.
You can find Amanda Barden at The Bridal Bazaar on June 12th from 6-10pm at The Waterview in Bicentennial Park.
Why Did You Decide To Get Into The Bridal Robe Industry?
I wanted to create a missing niche in the market. I found my opportunity 5 years ago when I had my first baby and was working full time at Sass + Bide, but I needed to leave and create a home business to work around my child’s routine, so I started making robes and flower girl dresses. Little did I know robes would be taking off like it did.
Why Do You Think Bridal Robes Have Gotten So Popular?
It’s definitely a step up from trackies or gym gear. And I think it allows the bride to feel beautiful every step of the way leading up to her actually putting on her wedding dress.
Plus, why not?! A bridal robe isn’t just a one-off purchase. It’s a timeless piece – a sentimental piece. All my brides have taken a journey with it, which I love! From their bridal moment to their honeymoon and even the most sentimental moments, like their pregnancy photo shoots.
What Is Your Most Popular Robe?
My Mascato robe. It exudes luxury.
Where Are All Your Customers From?
They are mostly Australian. But my most popular international countries outside of Australia are USA, U.K. and Dubai.
