Wedded Wonderland was thrilled to attend Fashion Palette 2017 last night, accessing the latest trends from the catwalk and backstage to share with you. The big news is: tassel accessories are in, along with floral dresses and flirtatious fringe finishes. Alin Le Kal’s bridal collection was a show highlight, and is set to keep us inspired till our next runway hit.

Here’s what else we spied trending straight from the catwalk last night:
Ethereal White
The colour always brings the feeling of purity, innocence and light. There was a sea of white ensembles attacking the runway and we can confidently say this colour is one of the seasons 2017 colour trend.
At Sass and Bide, there was a series of white dresses and some luxurious chic Nicola Finetti day-wear. You could say that capitalising on white dresses is ‘playing the safe card’, but its worth every penny. The runway showcased delicate beading, not to mention exquisite outerwear to complement the boldness of the white trend. Have a yearning for bohemian? Sass and Bide’s strapless bodice collection stole the show.
Off-Shoulder Wonder
The combined benefits of off-shoulder tops and gowns is airy and romantic. Sure, there is definitely a bohemian element to it, but a classic, great and constant style never goes out of fashion. Eliya the Label showcased natural toning which resembles the tribes of Africa. The short dress and tops with off-the-shoulder can give a woman a longer and leaner look – thanks for the tip Eliya.
A girl can certainly get away with a scheme of colour – Danielle Aridi lets us know you can’t miss out on this trend with a dash of lavender love. There’s no better way to beat the cold season with some cute and versatile options in your winter wardrobe.
The Layering Fringe
The Wild Wild West is revamped – and the urban cowgirl is the look for the season. Courtesy of Eliya the Label and Sass and Bide, the boho-chic is most definitely the right trend if you’re into country and fringe. With a mix of elegant, punk, even colour flaring styles from Danielle Aridi, you can never have enough fringe for the perfect chic touch.
A Touch of Embroidery
Large flower motifs, tiny adornments – floral prints were huge on the Fashion Palette runway. Artisanal blooms were a thing for Alin Le Kal and was certainly more in line for the upcoming spring season. We love the sheer brightness and joy florals bring into the wedding world – embroidered veils proved to be a grand inspiration too.
The collection had the expected amount of sparkle with the addition of contemporary elegance that still happened as the silhouettes stormed the runway.
The Why-So-Blue Effect
If navy isn’t your thing, arch towards some strong and confident cobalt blue. That’s right, a trending colour for the season, the blue shade lit up the runway as brands Zerryn and Sass and Bide create yet another gorgeous 2017 colour trend.
We can definitely see blue jazzing up in autumn – did we mention printed leopard was also wrapped head to toe at the Zerryn show? Sass and Bide take a more beach-ready spin especially when matched with tassel accessories and bold white/black tones.
