Sussanah and David’s special day began with a ceremony in Brisbane’s St Johns Cathedral, with its’ breath-taking high vaulted ceilings and architectural pointed arches, creating the perfect setting for their classic wedding. The couple read their personalised vows to each other, which they had kept as a surprise until the day, in the same church Sussanah’s parents had married in many years ago, adding a sentimental touch to the ceremony.
The classic theme continued into the reception, with classic elements incorporated throughout, including a 1936 Black Dodge 6 passenger Limousine, a Cascading knee length bouquet,a violin ensemble, bridal waltz, multi-level cake, and soft, elegant colour theme of golds, creams, and silks throughout the decor..
Bride Sussanah was a vision in her MXM Couture gown, which fit her like a glove! Her French lace gown had a lightly beaded bodice and flowed through to a soft full tulle skirt, creating the drama of a cathedral dress with the simplicity and elegance of a classical theme.
Reflecting back on their special day, the couple told Wedded Wonderland the best part of their day was spending it with their loved ones, some of whom had flown out from England to celebrate their love and commitment.
If there’s one piece of advice Sussanah would give to other brides, it would be – “No matter how well you plan, there will always be some little thing that goes wrong. So just decide on the wedding day to roll with what ever comes. Enjoy having all your friends and family around you, and remember the main thing.”
