It’s 2018, so it’s safe to say that more than a few of us have been broken up with via text or social media.
Of course, most of us don’t have half a million Instagram followers, so at least we can stew in our self-pity mostly to ourselves – unlike Stu Laundy.
The millionaire publican, who found love with ex-Bardot singer and most recent Bachelorette Sophie Monk, has revealed on breakfast radio that he only found out that he was no longer in a relationship with Sophie after she posted the update on Instagram.

The emotional post assured people that the relationship was under no pressure from contracts and that it naturally ran its course.
“I gave it the best shot I could and my intentions were everything, but unfortunately it just didn’t work out,”Sophie wrote. “As much as I respect him we are just very different people.”
Appearing on KIIS 1065’s Kyle and Jackie O Show and Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa, Stu, who is a father of four, told Fitzy and Wippa that he was doing okay (though we do sense some indignation, of course).
“I sort of found out via Instagram, but we both knew in our hearts it was pushing toward a friendship,” he told the Duo.
“It was Soph’s [decision to break up] and apart from being so publicly brushed, I have no hard feelings.”
Sophie’s friend and radio host, Kylie Sandilands, admitted that the pair weren’t running as smoothly as fans had hoped.
“I was talking to her before Christmas and I knew it was tough … they weren’t getting on that great.”
As always, we hope they both get another shot at love.
