If any pair deserves the crown of ‘couple goals’ it’s definitely John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. Despite this, John has recently made a shocking revelation, admitting that he once tried to call it quits with Chrissy, but his feisty now-wife wouldn’t let him.
The two started dating almost 10 years ago, and despite being the epitome of the perfect couple, at a time Legend was so overwhelmed with work he decided single life would be easier for him. But Teigen point blank refused to let him end their relationship.

“I was really stressed and busy. I was just like, ‘I’d just be happier single right now’, and she was like ‘No’”, Legend tells the Guardian newspaper. This slight bump in the road lasted a half hour before it was resolved, dusted under the carpet and the two were back to being right as rain.
Legend married Teigen in Lake Como Italy, in September 2013 and openly claims she’s the secret to his success ever inspiring him to be “bolder”. The couple met when Teigen was cast as his love interest for his single Stereo. It was not long after they started dating and only four years after that they decided to tie the knot. Although Legend doesn’t portray himself as the perfect husband, but he is overly proud of being a committed husband.

“I don’t mind being known as somebody who’s devoted to their wife. I am devoted to Chrissy. And when I write about [my commitment to her], it’s me being authentic,” he said.
*Sigh*
We totally still think they are the epitome of couple goals, don’t you?
