Inside a Real-Life Fairytale: How you can Recreate Paige & Alex’s Château Wedding

Some weddings feel like a dream, and others become the dream–the kind you never want to wake up from. For Paige and Alex, their love story unfolded across one of the most iconic estates in France, the majestic Château Vaux-le-Vicomte. The wedding was a cinematic, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Every detail was thoughtfully imagined and brought to life by Geller Events, who led the planning and served as Artistic Director. In collaboration with Alejandra Poupel, who acted as the couple’s European planning partner, this ultra-luxe celebration turned love into art alongside partners like Roni Floral Design. From floating ceremonies to drone-led train rides; from Dior couture to a private Calvin Harris DJ set; this wasn’t just about elegance. It was about emotion, intimacy, and unforgettable moments.
Here’s how Paige and Alex created the wedding of their dreams and how you can recreate that same feeling of fairytale magic, wherever you are.
Choose a Venue That Feels Like a Storybook
For Paige and Alex, Château Vaux-le-Vicomte was the one. With its mirrored ponds, symmetrical French gardens, and soaring stone architecture, the château felt like a fairytale waiting to be written.
“We wanted a place that took your breath away the moment you arrived. Somewhere timeless. Somewhere grand, but romantic,” shares planner and a Wedded Wonderland partner, Alejandra Poupel. “Vaux-le-Vicomte was all of that and more.”
Whether it’s a château, vineyard, historic manor, or cliffside villa, choose a place that feels like your love story. One that sets the stage before a single word is spoken.

Make Every Moment Feel Like a Movie Scene

Beyond the setting, the beauty of this wedding was in how every moment had its own rhythm and personality. From the gentle, emotional ceremony to the joyful cocktail hour, the glittering dinner, and the wild, romantic after party–each scene flowed into the next like chapters in a story.
The Ceremony
Paige made her entrance through the château’s grand doors in a custom Dior couture gown, to the sound of 24 live musicians playing a custom-composed piece. A floating aisle had been built in the château’s central pond, surrounded by water fountains and horse statues, so the couple could quite literally be surrounded by love.
The Cocktail Hour
At sunset, guests strolled into a Toile de Jouy-themed French garden. Soft green hedges, antique florals, and musicians dressed like Marie Antoinette’s court gave it an ethereal charm.
The Dinner
Held under a custom glass structure that mirrored the elegance of Place Vendôme, dinner unfolded on a Swarovski crystal dance floor under the stars. The build alone took 45 days, but it created a magical view of the château and gardens unlike anything else.
Think about the mood you want your guests to feel throughout the day. Joyful? Poetic? Electric? Use music, lighting, and transitions between events to create that emotional journey.

Add Details That Leave People Breathless

Add Details That Leave People Breathless
From horse-drawn carriages to drone shows, every moment of this wedding was crafted to surprise, delight, and stir something unforgettable in the hearts of guests.
After dinner, guests were guided by open-air trains through candlelit gardens, led by 1,000 drones shaped like horses galloping in the sky. When they arrived, a full-scale laser, fireworks, and video-mapping show danced across the château’s front, like a love letter written in light.
Then, the Afterparty began–with Calvin Harris taking the decks inside the château itself! This IS what they came for, this IS how deep Paige-Alex’s love is!
“My favorite moment of the whole night–was this incredible entertainment in which there was a mix of video mapping, laser light show, and fireworks with the Chateau in the background. Everyone really took a few minutes to just soak it in and have a pause before getting into the after-party dancing mode,” said Alejandra Poupel.
What surprise element are you adding to your wedding then?

End on a Sweet, Spectacular Note
The final chapter of the night? A choc-a-bloc dessert library inside the château. Created by Bastien Blanc Tailleur, the room overflowed with hundreds of differently styled Marie Antoinette cakes and cookies and all of the delightful French desserts such as strawberry charlottes, macarons, chocolate éclair pyramids and much more.
Even the after party had a personal touch: the couple, both chess lovers, transformed the space into a giant black-and-white chessboard, complete with oversized king and queen pieces.
Use dessert as a way to end the night on a high. Think decadent, personal, and a little theatrical. It doesn’t just have to taste good, let it look unforgettable too.

Your Fairytale Starts With Vision
Paige and Alex’s luxurious wedding was about feeling something extraordinary. It reminded every guest what love looks like when it’s celebrated with full-hearted imagination.
And here’s the truth: You can create your own version of that magic. Whether you’re getting married in a château, a vineyard, or your hometown; it’s about telling your story beautifully.
