Vincent proposed to Jennifer as they were enjoying a cruise to a mini vacation on Fire Island, when he asked on of their friends to take a picture of the two, then suddenly dropped down on one knee and proposed. “I knew the proposal was coming in the near future, but I was totally thrown off when it happened. I couldn’t stop smiling and crying, that day will always be one of my most cherished memories,” Jennifer told Wedded Wonderland.
The couple celebrated their special day with 200 of their nearest and dearest friends and family. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was followed by a fun and laid back cocktail party, then the party moved to the main reception room where the couple and their guests partied well into the night. When the night came to an end each guest was given famous square pizza slices from Brooklyns L&B Spumoni Gardens – because who wouldn’t want some pizza to end a night of dancing, drinking & celebrating!
Reflecting on the best moment of the night, Jennifer told Wedded Wonderland, “I remember I kept looking around and kept noticing everyone laughing, smiling, singing and really having a blast! One of the most special moments was having Vincent’s cousin sing our first dance live for us. She did a cover of “Not Even the King” by Alicia Keys. It was phenomenal! There wasn’t a dry eye in the house & people still talk about it to this day.” So sweet!
If Jennifer were to give one piece of advice to brides-to-be it would be to take 10 minutes to sit down, take everything in and don’t forget to eat!
