It’s the wedding that caused an entire city to take notice and we were so excited to chat with Vesna Grasso, who managed the Florals and Styling for the wedding of Aysha and Salim!
WW: Can you describe the floral styling of this event?
Vesna Grasso: Soft romantic, luxurious and abundant
WW: What was the colour scheme?
Vesna Grasso: White, with a hint of pink
WW: How did this represent the bride and groom’s taste and personality?
Vesna Grasso: This styling fit them to a tee – it was very extravagant. Everything they did was to the extreme, but still very tasteful. Absolute perfection.
WW: What made the styling of this wedding different from any others that you’ve worked on?
Vesna Grasso: The look and feel of the styling is similar to a lot of my past work, which is why they most likely chose to use me. However, the scale of this event is what set it apart. It was much bigger than anything I’ve worked on previously.
WW: Can you give me some stats?
Vesna Grasso: There was 520 guests at the reception. There was a floral wall that was 20m long and 3.5m high. Each of the venue’s 10 internal columns were completely covered with flowers. There were more than 800,000 blooms used. 12 three-tonne truckloads of flowers were delivered from the markets.
